Mini Western Enduro - Six Day Tours

This one is for those intermediate off-road riders who want to test their ability, but is a bit more forgiving than some of the longer Cardamon tours. It is a challenging ride, and during the wet season some routes are not possible. The tour starts off fairly easy going on the first day riding through the surrounding countryside. Then things get a bit more interesting once you get to the mountains. Some awesome riding and stunning views. Our favourite part of the country to ride. We should be riding between 100 and 200 kilometers a day, depending on the route we take.

Itinerary

Day 1: Siem Reap

Airport transfer/getting settled into your hotel and meeting fellow riders, then off to the temples for the day. We will arrange a guide and transport  for you, so you have a chance to learn about this amazing country’s history. Then we’ll meet for an evening meal, and go through the tour itinerary. You will be staying in a comfortable boutique hotel.

Day 2: Siem Reap to Battambang

Mainly red dirt roads winding through beautiful rice-fields as we make our way through the Cambodian countryside; an easy start to the challenge ahead. Staying in a great hotel with air-con and hot water

Day 3: Battambang to O’Soum

Entering the mighty Cardamon mountains, the terrain starts to get exciting. Some nice single track and some harder climbs.

Day 4: O’Soum to Koh Kong

We’ll take the new Chinese road; A fun, windy road through the mountains to Koh Kong, on the Thai border. Some amazing views, and waterfalls along the way. If you want something more challenging, there are harder routes we can take.

Day 5: Koh Kong to Chipat

The first bit of dirt today will be fun red roads with spectacular views that cut through the mountains. We can have a swim at the Tatai Waterfall and rapids in the morning if you wish. Today is a lot more challenging; bordering on advanced. There are some tough technical climbs and descents, with rivers, dodgy bridges and bamboo thickets. Don't worry though our team will get you through. We will be staying in a charming rural village home-stay. Chipat is the gateway to Phnom Aural and  to some of the most untouched parts of Cambodia, with new species being found all the time. This is rapidly changing with the onset of deforestation  & development in the region.

Day 6: Chipat to Kompong Som

The final day will be an easy ride with a mixture of tarmac and dirt roads with some single track thrown in towards the end as we head to Kampong Som. We'll have a rest at Kbal Chay waterfall, where you can have a swim and freshen up. Then back on the road to the coastal town of Sihanoukville, our destination for the night. We should be back in time for sunset on the beach, where the tour ends.
